How to resize an image in Photoshop

  1. Open your image in Photoshop
  2. From the File menu select Automate then Fit Image...
  3. Enter the maximum width and height in pixels for the new image size
    • 1920 x 1080 is the size used to display images at our club meetings
  4. Click OK
  5. Use File, Save As to save your file as a ".jpeg" file. Do not destroy your original image
    • We recommend saving your image with the Quality setting of 10 or more and "Baseline Optimized"

How do I change or upload a photo to the home page?

  1. From the Upload and Manage Photos menu select Upload Photo to Home Page Gallery
    • You'll get a page reminding you that each member is only allowed one photo on the home page
  2. Click on Upload Photo to Home Page Gallery
    • You'll get a page titled Images in this Gallery. Main Line Camera Club Home Page
    • If you have already have a photo on the home page, find your photo and click on the X on the top right of the photo to delete it, since you are only allowed one photo on the home page
  3. Click on the Upload Images into this Gallery button
    • You'll get a page titled Upload Images
  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the Select button
  5. A popup window will be displayed
    • Use it to find the file on your computer you wish to upload and click on the Open button to upload it
    • The window will then close and the file will be uploaded to the website
  6. Click on the Save Images button to save the photo to the Main Line Camera Club Home Page gallery
    • You'll get a page titled Edit New Images
  7. Enter the title of this photo and click on the Done button at the bottom of the page

How to I upload a photo for this month’s theme?

  1. From the Upload and Manage Photos menu select Upload Photo for this Month’s Theme
    • You'll get a page titled Upload Photo for this Month’s Theme.
  2. Click on the Upload Photo link at the bottom of the page
    • You'll get a page titled Submit Images to a Competition. It's not a competition. It's just what this website calls it
    • The page will tell you how many images you have already uploaded for this month's theme and the maximum number you can upload, usually it is one
    • If it says "No competitions match your selection criteria" then you have passed the deadline for uploading photos for this month's theme
  3. Click on the Select button at the bottom of the page
    • You'll get another page titled Submit Images to a Competition
  4. If you have not uploaded this image before click on the Upload Images into the Competition button
    1. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the Select button
    2. A popup window will be displayed
      • Use it to find the file on your computer you wish to upload and click on the Open button to upload it
      • The window will then close and the file will be uploaded to the website
    3. Click on the Save Images button to save the photo
      • You will then be taken to a page titled Edit New Images
    4. Enter the title of this photo and click on the Done button at the bottom of the page
  5. If you have already uploaded this image before click on the Add Images from my Image Library button
    1. Scroll down and click on the button Search for Images towards the bottom left of the page
    2. Find the image you want and click in small box next to where it says Selected
    3. Click on the Finished Marking Desired Images button at the bottom of the page

How do I upload a photo to my gallery?

  1. From the Upload and Manage Photos menu select Manage My Photo Galleries
    • You'll get a page titled Manage Galleries
  2. Click on the + next to Members Galleries to show the galleries of all the club members
  3. Find your gallery. You might have to click on the > button at the bottom of the page
  4. To the right of your gallery click on the Edit and Upload Images button
    • You'll get a page titled Images in this Gallery
  5. If you have not uploaded this image before click on the Upload Images into this Gallery button
    1. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the Select button
    2. A popup window will be displayed
      • Use it to find the file on your computer you wish to upload and click on the Open button to upload it
      • The window will then close and the file will be uploaded to the website
    3. Click on the Save Images button to save the photo
      • You will then be taken to a page titled Edit New Images
    4. Enter the title of this photo and click on the Done button at the bottom of the page
  6. If you have already uploaded this image before click on the Add Images from my Image Library button
    1. Scroll down and click on the button Search for Images towards the bottom left of the page
    2. Find the image you want and click in small box next to where it says Selected
    3. Click on the Finished Marking Desired Images button at the bottom of the page

How do I change the name of a photo I previously uploaded?

  1. From the Upload and Manage Photos menu select Manage My Image Library
  2. Click on My Image Library at the bottom of the page
    • You'll get a page titled Image Library
  3. Scroll down and click on the button Search for Images towards the bottom left of the page
  4. Find the image you want and type in the new name in the yellow box
  5. Click on the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page

How do I permanently delete a photo I previously uploaded?

  1. From the Upload and Manage Photos menu select Manage My Image Library
  2. Click on My Image Library at the bottom of the page
    • You'll get a page titled Image Library
  3. Scroll down and click on the button Search for Images towards the bottom left of the page
  4. Find the image you want and click in the box next to where it says Delete to the right of the image
  5. Click on the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page
